In import / export section of help said that "The values in the SupportServicesSPFunding extract correspond to those found in the ‘Year End Budget – Payments In’ report". However the value in SPLS extract is different from the Year end budget report's value report, it is bigger (extra 26-27 days of funding).
Is it the requirement of CLG?
Does anybody has any suggestions? Many thanks Continue

I am pleased to announce the launch of version 2 of SP-Bench, our web benchmarking service for SP teams throughout the UK. The main enhancement is that version 2 allows you to benchmark the Outcomes data of your services. Compare your services to like ones from across the UK, find where they are not achieving the outcomes they should, and discover the reasons why.
To begin, simply upload your unaltered long or short term outcomes Excel file on the… Continue

Just looking at the new QAF information from CLG and wondering if it is going to work on submission of QAF on SPOCC.Net. Has anyone had a look at this yet? (just thought I would pick some brains before using my own)!! Continue
Hopefully you have all heard that SPOCC 7 has been released, to much celebration in the SPOCC team here at OCC, so I can finally take a moment to wish you all a happy 2009 and tell you a little about what we're going to be up to over the next couple of months.
January has already seen the launch of SPOCC and SPOCC.Net 7, after a month's beta testing at Durham, Greenwich and Portsmouth, and we'll be hosting a… Continue

Subject: System error – Clients record not found if date of birth set to future date (user error).
Issues:
If spocc user set x client’s date of birth to future date (4943) (which I did – mistakenly), SPOCC won’t retrieve client’s record on SPOCC live and test system, no matter it is a current client or inactive client which can result into payment serious issues.
Being working on Spocc’s system, resolving client’s and payment's record for last 3 years, it didn’t click in the first place what… Continue
This week we released SPOCC 7 to the three LAs that have volunteered to test the new version before its final release to the rest of the community next month. Along with the testing we do throughout the year, the whole team has spent the last three weeks testing, tweaking and documenting the new features, and we're looking forward to the feedback of the SPOCC 7 pioneers once their tests are completed early in the new year.
In the meantime, we are putting the finishing touches to outcomes suppor… Continue

From: BWDBCtube on YouTube.com
I discovered this Supporting People programme video on YouTube.com.
While it is bannered Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council Social
Services and contains their contact details, the information is not
wholly Blackburn-centric. It is more of a wide ranging overview of
Supporting People for the general… Continue

As you can see from the new "Events" tab at the top of every page, SPOCC Social now has an events calendar that we will be using to display the SPOCC training courses that we run here at OCC.
But the events page is not just for us to tell you things, you can add your own events to it and even use SPOCC Social as a way to invite attendees to your event - be it a workshop, group/consortium discussion, or a training day that you have organised for o… Continue

Shortly after this blog entry we will be posting a hard copy of this letter. It is being sent out to SP Lead Officers (which asks them to forward onto the I.T person in charge of SPOCC at your LA) and explains why OCC are dropping support for SQL Server 2000.
Use the link above if you want to read the letter prior to receiving it by Royal Mail. Continue

To get a better grasp of what SPOCC Social is about, a
particular distinction may shed some light: the difference
between the web and Web 2.0. Surfing the web involves
passive observation - TV without the scheduling. The
latter is all about active UGC (user generated content).
This concept is brilliantly illustrated by Kathy Sierra
of the Creating Passionate Users blog in her topic The
Best Thing About… Continue
